So…what is the Monday Poll?
Well, it isn't exactly a poll. It's more of a constantly evolving (devolving?), somewhat random listing of questions I've been putting out to readers every Monday morning for the by 10 (!) years. (Information technology's like a kickstart for your brain.) I've ever enjoyed reading your answers in the comments, and I hope you enjoy reading mine.
1. Is at that place any takeout place or java shop where folks usually/oft mess upward your name?
It'south Karen, spelled the conventional manner, but I'll be darned if I don't get some very creative takes on my proper name at Starbucks.
I picked upward a potable once that said "Cenotaph" on the side of the cup…like the terrier. LOL! Another fourth dimension somebody wrote "Carrot," and I gotta paw it to them for that one. 🙂 But do I look like somebody named afterwards that vegetable??
2. Something you lot need to do today?
Just i of many things I need to exercise today, because the baby caught her first common cold and it's been…an adventure, but I need to wash the bedding in the guest room because We had company over, and I ever similar to continue fresh sheets in in that location, simply in case somebody stops by unexpectedly and needs to stay the nighttime.
Not that that e'er happens… Terminal weekend was my in-laws, and we knew they were visiting ahead of fourth dimension, but I notwithstanding like to have that room ready merely in case somebody ever does stop past completely out of the bluish.
Weird, I know.
3. Y'all're out running errands one morning when you lot realize — OH, NO! — that you must take lost or forgotten your telephone at dwelling house. What practice yous do?
If Connor were with me, I'd probably wouldn't worry nearly it because, y'all know, if I actually needed to become hold of someone, I'd find a fashion — ask someone to borrow their telephone, find a payphone (practice they still take those??) — only if Connor wasn't with me, I'd probably jet back home to check, and if I nevertheless couldn't find it, I'd use Apple's Discover my Phone and remotely wipe it if I saw it moving around on that little map.
four. Where are you right now?
In my office, which overlooks our footling neighborhood circle, looking out my windows from my desk and waiting for Connor Claire and the sun to rise.

Happy Monday, amiga! I don't know what it's like out there, but we're definitely starting to feel the effects of fall here, which means information technology'due south almost total-time stretchy pants time, woot!
It'south getting chilly at night, and the oak trees all over our identify are dropping leaves like crazy! Information technology still warms up to about fourscore in the daytime, but it'south weird. We're on that summertime-fall cusp.
Nearly the stretchy pants, though, information technology'southward non like stretchy pants ever get out of style (because every 24-hour interval tin can exist a stretchy pants day), and I currently take my centre on a new pair of cuties with faux leather on the sides by Senita.
Speaking of stretchy pants, may each day this week be as good to you as your favorite pair of stretchy pants. 🙂

P.S. I dear that picture at the pinnacle, but that was taken on Friday Before Connor'southward olfactory organ started running. She's in full-on common cold mode now and none also pleased most it.
